Cookies
This site does not use cookies
That is the whole position, and it is why you have not been shown a banner.
What we set
Nothing. No cookies, no local storage, no session identifiers, no fingerprinting, no pixels.
What we load from elsewhere
Nothing. Typefaces are served from this domain rather than from Google Fonts or any other provider, so no third party sees your visit. There are no embedded videos, maps or social buttons, all of which set cookies on your behalf.
The Ask DocuSoft assistant
The assistant in the corner of the page is ours and it runs entirely in your browser. It answers from a file of information taken from these pages, which is downloaded with the page like any other file. It contacts nothing, sets no cookie, and keeps no record: close the panel and the conversation is gone. Nothing you type reaches us unless you then use the contact form, WhatsApp or the telephone.
It is not a general purpose chatbot and it does not pretend to be. When a question falls outside what this site publishes it says so and points you to a person.
Why there is no banner
A consent banner exists to obtain permission for cookies that are not strictly necessary. We do not set any, so there is nothing to consent to, and a banner would be theatre.
What would change this
Adding analytics, an embedded map, advertising, or connecting the assistant to an outside language model provider would each introduce cookies or third party requests. If any of those is added, this page and the privacy notice must be updated, the provider named, and a genuine consent mechanism added before the script goes live.
The contact form
The contact form posts to Formspree, which relays it to us by email. That happens only when you press send, it sets no cookie on this site, and nothing is sent before you choose to send it. What Formspree receives, and the fact that it processes outside Nigeria, is set out in the privacy notice.
Server logs
To be confirmed with the host. Web servers ordinarily keep access logs containing IP addresses for a short period, for security and diagnostics. That is not a cookie, but it is personal data, and the retention period should be stated here.
